Tech Edge:
I was able to review TECH EDGE hosted by Mr. Guy Tranin from University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) Technology (Tech) Education In Digital and Global Environments (EDGE). These videos are great for teachers to use as resources and he has a video for everything over 288. I will use these videos to help me find apps to use in my classroom. Further down on my page I have listed just three of my favorite apps to use in the classroom. Below are two videos I watched to find some of the apps I want to use in the classroom. These two videos describe the app and how to use it. This is such a great resource and I can't explain it enough.

Pocket Points: If you haven't heard the buzz about this app you're about too. This app is such an amazing idea to get students to put their phones away and focus in class. This app ask for your location and if you're on campus it will register your location and when you're on the app then it has you lock your phone. If you open your phone at anytime the time stops. As the phone stays locked you earn point and with those points they give you gifts. The gifts include lots of discounts at restaurants and sometimes shopping places. With these gifts it encourages student to focus in class and put their phones away to earm points to use on food and clothes it couldn't get much better than that!!

Prezi: Prezi is a step up from PowerPoint. It allows you to really personalize your presentation and come up with unique slides. Prezi has tutorials on how to use this app. Its very user friendly and after you get the hang of it, its easy to use. The ipad app is easy to use and lets you personalize everything the same as if you were using your PC.
Quiz Up: I enjoy using apps to study and haven't be able to find one I liked until I watched the Tech Edge videos I found one I liked. Quiz up allows you to select your subjects you want to quiz your students on like world history, or about the U.S presidents and each student can take the quiz on there own or as a class. For college students it gives you and opportunity to study for test coming up or just as study materials to get familiar with different subjects. This app is free and that's such a bonus because most quiz apps cost.
